You cannot tell from the outside appearance, but this stock looking manifold is milled, filled and ported. So what, you may ask. Porting is easy. For those of you with our Stage I, Stage II or Stage III throttle bodies or our ported Magnum heads, the intake manifold is the next restriction in the system. We modify the intake with porting and extended port matching (not gasket matched....there is a difference). This extended port matching eliminates the bottleneck of the original intake and matches the ports to our Stage I and Stage II Magnum heads. This means the intake can now supply all the air the heads can handle. The milling refers to the port runners being cut to a shorter length. This tunes the intake ram length to a higher RPM. The boost in cylinder filling will move up in the RPM range, which more closely matches the power ranges of performance cams, ported cylinder heads and larger throttle bodies. Filling the plenum area creates a stronger vacuum signal to the fuel injection. This stronger signal helps to offset the signal lost to large duration camshafts and large port throttle bodies. This manifold is the next step in increasing the power potential of the modified engines without having to go to the expense of a 4bbl throttle body system. The intake is supplied with a 1/4" thick aluminum, billet plenum cover plate installed to help prevent blowing the gasket out. Each intake also comes with a new Fel-Pro intake gasket kit and all new torque to yield intake manifold bolts. It's a complete kit!

After using an M-1 intake and a stock magnum intake , I have to say that your stage 2 magnum is by far the best intake for my combination. The M-1 didn't start to pull until about 3500 RPM, below that it was along for the ride. The stock intake pulled from idle to around 4000 RPM, great for a grocery getter. With my small non-Hughes cam, headers , 53mm throttle body ,mopar performance PCM and converter,and1.6 roller rockers, the stage 2 intake from Hughes pulls from about 2000 RPM until the trans shifts to the next gear at 5300RPM and my mid range around town has vastly improved. The all around drivability has improved, and I picked up from 14.30s to 14 teens and went from 94 MPH to 96 MPH with just this intake swap, not bad for a 4100# truck.To say i'm happy is an understatement. This intake also has a great seat of the pants feeling. This is one product that lived up to my expectations. I've sent an attachment with a picture of my truck. I look forward to buying a computer friendly cam from you in the near future, and then maybe some 13 second et's . Thanks again for a wonderful product.

When placing your order we will need 5 pieces of information.
1. Year & Casting Number
2. EGR or no EGR
3. One or two coolant sensor ports
4. Number and size of vacuum ports on either side of the intake directly below the throttle body.
Each of these are referenced in the above photo.
5. Are we supplying a core or are you? If you want us to supply the core you must order part number 33302. There is a $300 core charge which is refundable when you send us your good core.
