They advance too fast and most keep advancing way past where their max advance point should be, creating detonation at higher (3500+) RPM. We offer the Petronix Distributors with a custom advance curve for only $17.00 more for the custom curve. Not only that but the Petronix Distributor needs only a 12-volt power source run directly to it. No more resistors to go through! These distributors work great for trailer towing up to full race applications.
