Duster Facts

Engine:  (originally a slant six)2003 5.7Hemi from a wrecked Ram 2500. Built by Ben Hoitink at Hughes Engines in Washington IL. 392 Stroker with Hughes fully CNC ported heads, Mahle power pack pistons 3.947” +6cc dome, Manley 4.050” crank and rods, a Hughes camshaft HER2731MHLN-111 Duration 227 231 @ .050” .545” lift Lobe Separation 111, and a modified Edelbrock dual 4 intake with universal Holley throttle bodies. Engine runs happily on pump gas.

Controlled by Holley HP EFI fuel injection

Exhaust: TTI ceramic coated headers, Pypes 2.5” dual exhaust with race pro mufflers

Transmission: 1977 Mopar A833OD 4 speed

Rearend: Mopar 8.75 489 center with a Detroit True trac differential and Moser 3.55 Gears

Suspension: Original restored with Moog replacement parts with the addition of KYB Shocks and Addco Front and Rear sway bars.

Brakes: Original front a body disc brakes and rear is 95’ jeep Grand Cherokee Disc

Wheels and tires:  American Racing Torque Thrust. Front: 235 60 15 Rear: 275 60 15

Body: Steel hood and fenders. Both rear quarters have been replaced. US Car Tool Subframe connectors.

Paint: Sublime Green. Painted by Classic Autobody in Roanoke, IL

Interior: Front bucket seats from a 02’ Durango. Custom aluminum dash with Autometer NV gauges.

Fuel Injection: Holley EFI

Throttle Bodies: 2 Holley Universal 1000 cfm 4 barrel throttle bodies

Injectors: 42lb Holley Bosch style injectors

Lifters: Mopar Performance

Rocker Arms: Factory

Bearings: Clevite H-Series

Valves: Factory 2.00” Intake and 1.555” Exhaust

Valve Springs: Comp Cams

Cylinder Heads: Factory 5.7 Heads fully CNC’d 84cc combustion chambers

Headers: TTI Ceramic coated 1.75” with 3” collectors
