Ordering information and instructions

 
Phone orders: Call 309-745-9558, this number is also the tech line, so it is frequently busy, please be patient or place your order online and put "I need a follow-up call" in the comments section and we'll call you back.

Fax orders: Fax 309-296-9990. Make sure you include your name, address, zip code and phone number. Clearly state what you want, including part numbers if possible. You will be notified if there is any delay in shipment.

Foreign orders: We ship all over the world. All foreign and overseas orders must be paid for by using Paypal.com or by making a bank wire transfer and paid in advance. No CODs on foreign shipments.

COD orders: First time orders will not be shipped Cash On Delivery. We will only accept money orders and certified checks, no cash or personal checks. If you refuse a COD shipment you will be billed for the shipping both ways and future orders will not be shipped until the bill is paid.

Special orders: If you have a special request or need for an item not listed on our website, call us to check its availability. We are constantly developing new products and it may not be listed in our catalog. All special orders must be prepaid in full. No exceptions. No returns. Deposit on custom orders will be forfeited if the order is cancelled.


 
Methods of payment
We accept cash, certified checks or money orders. Visa, Master Card and Discover, drawn from banks in the United States. All foreign and overseas orders must be paid for with PayPal or by a bank wire transfer. Personal checks from US banks will be accepted. Please allow 10-12 business days for personal checks to clear the banks. Only money orders and certified checks will be accepted on COD orders. No exceptions. All final payments must be made with cash, credit cards, certified checks or money orders. Paypal is the quickest and least expensive method to transfer money. We encourage Paypal payments in the US too. All Paypal payments should be made to  "payments@HughesEngines.com".




 
When you receive your order
Check your order carefully as soon as you receive it. If the package is damaged or opened, immediately notify the shipping company or call us. DO NOT INSTALL, USE OR MODIFY THE PARTS IN ANY WAY BEFORE CHECKING THEM. A part that is modified in any way cannot be accepted for return regardless of fault. If any parts are back ordered this will show on your invoice. If you are not notified otherwise, your order will be shipped when available. Failure to accept a backorder will result in your account being charged for the freight. On backorder's greater than 60 days we will notify you at the time of availability and give you the option of accepting the parts.


 
Our Return Policy
If you receive a defective or wrong part, contact us immediately before returning the part. All returns require that you call for a RMA# (Return Merchandise Authorization). All returned parts are subject to a 20% restocking fee at our discretion. No returns after 30 days. Finished jobs will be charged a minimum $5.00 a day storage after 30 days. The shipping charges on all returns must be pre-paid; we do not accept C.O.D. returns.


 
Shipping
UPS is our preferred method of shipping. UPS offers shipping to all 50 states and Canada. We can offer Next Day, 2nd Day and Saturday guaranteed delivery. 3 Day guaranteed delivery is also available. Call for rates and delivery areas.

We can also send items via U.S. Postal service. This is usually a more cost effective method of shipping for our friends in Canada, Hawaii and Alaska. Just be sure to let us know how you would like it shipped when you place your order.

Most shipments in excess of  150lbs for a single package are shipped via a freight truck shipping company of our choice. Call for rates and delivery areas.
