Keeps The Distributor From Walking In The Block
Wonder why you can't seem to get your timing set correctly? Does the timing bounce around all over as you throttle up the engine? Put this collar on and it will lock the shaft in place and eliminate the play between the distributor shaft and the oil pump gear drive.

The reason I am writing is to tell you that along with a replacement gear drive, I also bought your aluminum collar to put on the distributor shaft. It works! I have never seen the timing stable on this motor. Or on any small block Chrysler I have had for that matter. The timing used to fluctuate 2.5 to 3 degrees at all rpm.
