The beehive springs are wound from a very high quality, super-clean, ovate spring wire. Their design enables them to be used at various installed height to fit many applications. Due to their reduced size and weight at the retainer end, in addition to the super light retainers (9 grams vs. standard 36 gram retainers) much less spring tension is necessary. this is especially helpful with higher RPM solid lifter applications as well as flat tappet and roller hydraulic applications. More RPM with less spring pressure due to the weight reduction at the valve. The same results as installing 16 titanium valves at the cost of 1 titanium valve.
