These tool steel retainers are CNC-machined to give superior strength along with the lightest possible weight. They can withstand even the most grueling race applications night after night. Tool steel is much harder than normal steel. Hey bubba, it's tool steel. Cutting tools and drill bits are made of tool steel. These trick pieces give you all of the control and light weight characteristics of the much more expensive titanium retainers. They are approximately 33% lighter than conventional chromemoly steel retainers and only 2-4 grams heavier than titanium.
