Choose this level of tuning for engines with upgraded camshafts, heads or stroker kits.
If future modifications are made to your engine, your SCT Tuner can be modified with new tunes to match your changes. Re-tunes cost $150.00 and can be done through e-mail and uploaded to your tuner with a USB cable.
To place an order for a SCT Tuner please click on the yelow link below. This will take you to an interactive page where you can type in the information required to program your custom tunes. You can type anywhere you see a blue highlighted area simply by clicking on the box and beginning to type. At the bottom of the form there is room for you to choose 2 types of tunes. usually we suggest tunes such as "Street", "Strip", or "Race". Unless you are running a race engine that uses nitrous or a blower leave the third line blank. We use this "3rd tune" area to store your factory tune. We can add a 3rd, special tune for you for an additional charge. Once you have filled the form out go to the top left hand corner of your screen and click on "File" then click on "Save As". Name the file by using your last name and SCT. For example, if your last name was "Smith", you would name the file "SmithSCT.pdf". Save the file to a spot in your computer that you can find and then simply e-mail the file to email@example.com.

This part number includes the handheld tuner and as many as three new custom programs. Most naturally aspirated engines get a Street/Daily driver tune, and a race only tune. Some others opt for a towing tune and then another to complement it. For those of you running nitrous, turbos or blowers we can add a 3rd tune. Since these are custom tuned and we already have hundreds of programs chances are that we can set you up with a good tune right of the box.

SCT Tuner Tech Article
As the vehicles that use these SCT tuners age, there is a chance the factory PCM may be defective. We have seen trucks that run fine now, have PCM's that will not take a tune from the SCT tuner. This is not the fault of the SCT tuner, but rather the PCM itself. This is rare, but it can happen. If this is the case, SCT will have to become involved in the troubleshooting to determine if the PCM is in fact defective. If your PCM ends up being defective and you have to replace it with another one from another vehicle, it will require the tune for the SCT being rewritten to match your new replacement PCM. There will be a charge for writing this tune.
