Return to Parts List Category : E- Big Block (Raised Deck) : Gaskets & Valley Plates : Intake & Base HUG 3274K-MW 1 PC FULL VALLEY PLATE KIT MAX WEDGE VALLEY PLATE, 4 .016" BEADED INT GASKETS, 2 END RAILS WITH FASTENERS $117.50 This valley plate has an "adjustable" port height (a Hughes Engines Exclusive) and is compatible with either standard 440 or Max Wedge port size, including ported heads or manifolds and is only 1/4 the weight of aluminum plates.  They not only look nice, but they fit nice too! No, they do not work with raised port heads. Yes, they do work with the original 413/426 Max Wedge crossram intakes. The tray keeps the hot oil off of the intake runners. "It cools your fuel" These valley covers are designed to work with manfifolds that DO NOT have a heat crossover passage that hangs below the intake port openings. That includes most single plane intakes plus the Indy dual plane. Dual plane intakes with the heat crossover passage must be modified to use our valley cover. Call us for details. The heat riser passage and any ports that interfere with the valley plate from laying flat on the manifold (refer to PHOTO 1 below) must be milled off (refer to PHOTO 2 below).
