#11---Converting Magnum Style Heads to Work on the LA Block | 10/9/2014 |
To convert your Iron Ram Magnum style heads to a custom valvetrain that works with your LA block simply order the following items:
- Iron Ram heads with the LA intake bolt pattern and new head bolts.
- Order "Pushrod Clearancing" when using a flat tappet camshaft. LAB AUTOHEAD953
- Select rocker kit part number 1550 (stud mounted) or 1555 (shaft mounted).
- Select the correct pushrods based on the list below.

Type 1: These pushrods are a ball & ball, oil thru, hardened design and the lengths are based on using our lifters.
Type 2: These pushrods are a ball & ball, oil thru, non-hardened design and the lengths are based on using our lifters.
Shop Notes: Our drop-in hydraulic roller lifters are .015" longer than the Magnum OEM lifters and work fine with these same pushrods. (No problems)
