Category : A- Small Block "LA" : Stroker Kits : 360 to 426

Small Block 426 Cubic Inch "Hemi-sized"

This is a premium kit including forged pistons, "H" beam billet rods with ARP2000 bolts, and a forged crankshaft. Naturally, all of the correct rings, main & rod bearings are included (as you would expect from us).  This kit is internally precision race balanced.
We designed this kit for hot street/bracket racing where maximum torque is needed and a light bob weight for quick acceleration is desired. It can be installed in either the  "LA" block or the newer Magnum blocks

The forged pistons are a step dish design giving a compression ratio of 10.45:1 with a 58cc chambered head and 9.87:1 with 65cc chambers.
For more compression ask for our flat top piston (no extra charge). Our goal in designing this was a good premium pump gas ratio with either iron or aluminum heads. The forged crankshaft will have a standard 360 main bearing with NASCAR sized rod journals (1.889"). The stroke is 4.180". The lightweight rods will use lighter weight 0.912" pin diameter and will naturally be full floating. Minimal notching will be required to allow this kit to drop in. We strongly suggest that you use our main bearing support girdle with this long armed screamer. These kits will be internally, race balanced.

These kits are now available with custom forged pistons with a flat top or dish piston. 4.030, .60,.80 or .100 oversize.

   4.030" = 426 c.i.
   4.040" = 429 c.i.
   4.060" = 433 c.i.
   4.080" = 437 c.i.
   4.100" = 441 c.i.

The custom step dish piston is availble with a 26cc dish which in a 426" which will yield the following compression ratios using  .039" gasket at zero deck:

       10.48:1 with a 58cc head
       10.08:1 with a 62cc head
           9.9:1 with a 64cc head

Using our custom flat top piston with a 6cc valve pocket in a 426" will yeild the following compression ratios using a .039" gasket and zero deck:

             13:1  with a 58cc head
        12.47:1  with a 62cc head
        12.17:1  with a 64cc head
